Over the past three years, the Bengaluru Poetry Festival has seen participation from over 180 poets, musicians, lyricists and performers from across the country. With thousands of poetry lovers joining in as audiences, BPF has become nothing less than a cultural phenomenon the city takes great pride in. In a recent interview, acclaimed Odia poet Manu Dash went on to call Bengaluru Poetry Festival the Kumbha of Indian poets.
The fourth edition of the festival was organised at the Taj West End hotel. Packed with poetry, fun, and chaos, the two day festival had events lined up from morning till night. These events included poetry performances, panel discussions, readings, and workshops for both adults and children. The number of languages that received representation at the BPF this year was phenomenal, as poets from Kannada, Tamil, Odia, Bengali, Hindi, Urdu, Punjabi, Marathi, English, and German languages shared their work.
